Leather Shoes Care Instruction

  1. New shoes should initially be worn for no more than two or three hours at a time. Only when the shoes and the feet have become accustomed to each other should they be worn for a whole day.
  2. Try to wear your shoes in dry conditions for the first few occasions. Avoid getting your shoes extremely wet, should this occur allow your shoes to dry naturally on shoe trees and lay the shoes on their sides rather than on their soles. Never use direct heat.
  3. Always use a shoehorn when putting on your shoes whether they are slip-ons, buckled or lace-ups, otherwise the back of the shoe will be weakened.
  4. Do not wear the same shoes on two successive days. The leather needs time to dry and recover after each wearing.
  5. Shoe trees should be used after each wearing to maintain the shape of the shoe and help them dry out.
  6. You can wipe the shoes down and apply a quality cream or wax polish after every wearing to feed the leather and prevent cracking, even if the shoes do not appear to have lost any of their original shine.
  7. Avoid unsuitable additions to either sole or heel, such as stick-on soles, as these can affect the balance, comfort and life of your shoes.

Socks Care Instruction

  1. Specific care instructions can be found on their individual packaging.
  2. Socks are best washed inside out to wash out odour-causing bacteria, and to reduce pilling and fluffing caused by the abrasive action of socks rubbing against each other and other clothes in the wash.
  3. Socks should not be bleached.
  4. A warm tumble dry setting may be preferable as this will ensure socks do not shrink in the drying process. Alternatively, socks can be line-dried (without delay), preferably in the shade.
  5. Some instructions may advise a gentle warm machine wash, however, the best way to wash a pair of socks is by hand, inside out, with a mild detergent and then line-dried in the shade.

Insoles care instruction

Foam cushion or cloth covered insoles are especially susceptible to water damage. If your insoles become water-logged, remove them from your shoes as soon as possible, gently pat with a dry towel to remove any surface moisture and place them in a spot with good ventilation, where they can lay flat. Allow to dry completely. Depending on how saturated your insoles are and the style of the insole, this can take from overnight to several days.

To Clean and maintain insoles, for best results, wash your insoles with lukewarm water and a mild detergent or soap.

  1. Do NOT let them soak or absorb too much water.

Be sure to avoid silicone-based cleaning products, as these types of soaps can result in damage to your insoles. For hard to remove stains, you can spot-treat by carefully scrubbing with a soft bristle toothbrush or similar. Be sure to rinse insoles well afterwards to remove excess water and dirt, then allow them to air dry completely.

  1. Do NOT machine wash or machine dry.

Taking care of your insoles will lengthen their life and cleaning them frequently will keep them looking like new and help avoid odours and any permanent staining. As you take care of your insoles, they will take care of you, keeping your feet cushioned and supported.

Typically, depending on the amount of wear and use, you should  replace insoles every three to nine month
